The full-moon hike on Elephant Back trail (3.5 miles) ♥ 9:25 AM

Yesterday night, Lettie, Abel and I prepared to join the full moon hike organised by the recreation centre here. Unfortunately, due to cloudy weather, Clayton, the RC in-charge canceled the hike.
Thankfully, while we were there, we met a group of people from the fishing bridge that wanted to go ahead with the hike anyways and happily joined in. Some of out lake hotel employee friends also decided to join in the hike and in total we had a group of 15 people. haha perfectly noisy and safe in my point of view.

OMG, the route up there is not an easy one. there were cliffs, puddles, mud and SNOW. Freaking shit, the snow was knee deep at some points and we had so much trouble continuing upwards...halfway down, i even though i lost my toes cause they were frozen solid and even painful. thankfully it wasn't snow all the way and god was i happy to step on nice soft bouncy dirt from time to time. Plus, the altitude here made breathing harder than usual since we weren't used to it.
Lucky for us, the few fishing bridge friends we made were more or less struggling with us and the group gradually split into half. the quicker ones and the slower ones. we even chatted up with each other on the way up and at some points, the hike wasn't as bad as it should have been. haha

FINALLY, we made it to to top! Oh, i must note this down too. Halfway uphill, we actually heard a pack of wolves howling.. it was the coolest sound ever and for a split second i even considered it to be the people at the pub celebrating. lol The view was breath-taking and totally worth it- To see the full moon over the lake and see the lake hotel from up in the distance... stunning...

I'll probably do the hike again.. when the snow melts and in the morning to get a contrast of night and light.

Through the looking glass.
